Drift Day 05.07.2015 Dracon, Kaloyanovo,Plovdiv

At Sunday, 5th of July 2015 an event just held up on the old airstrip near Kaloyanovo, Plovdiv. It was named by not so fancy name "Drift day".

The track - Race track "Dracon"was just renewed for the event ( well, not exactly for this, it had a grand openning couple weeks before). The new things- couple corners, a brand new pit lane, all of them with shiny new black asphalt . Unfortunately none of these was used on that day.

The weather was just perfect for driving ( sun, sun, sun everywhere and no clouds in the sky for miles) and terrible for shooting .I`m considering a ND filter for next events.

The cars- well it was just a couple of them- 3 BMW`s E30 and just one Nissan Silvia S13 with serious work under the hood- (there was no hood on the car in fact ). Standart SR engine is replaced with a 3.0 liter straight six 2JZ Supra engine with around 420 HP

A couple hours later tho more S13 arrived and went directly on the track.

It was a lot of fun, smoke, heat, smell of burning rubber, flying rubber, heat,little rocks and even a grass ( yes, there was some offroad activity from some of the carsand drivers ). And heat again!!! AND smoke!!!
